Bricco brings "phunky" to Akron and Cleveland
If you're in the mood for fine Italian cuisine at reasonable prices, you won't have to travel far if you're in Cleveland or Akron. With locations in both downtown Cleveland and downtown Akron, Bricco Restaurant serves up serious flavor in a sumptuous atmosphere that is chic, modern and warm. From pizzas to steaks and pastas to seafood, Bricco's got your favorites no matter what your taste buds crave.
This local hot spot is a favorite for the hungry lunchtime crowd, the laid-back dinner patrons or folks just looking for a stiff drink and a tasty appetizer after the work day. The décor is warm, inviting and luxurious, and so are the menu items. Bricco uses fresh ingredients in all of its authentic recipes, and the end result are entrees that other area eateries just can't touch.
For starters, try a glass of pinot grigio with one of Bricco's tasty apps. The Parmesan-crusted calamari with chorizo, banana peppers, roasted red peppers and creamy Parmesan dressing and the pan-seared crab cake with basil and chive remoulade are my personal recommendations.
If pasta is what you're hankering, you can't go wrong with the linguine with sauteed shrimp, roasted tomatoes and caramelized onions in a creamy alfredo sauce, or the lobster ravioli with sweet corn butter sauce.
If you'd prefer something meatier, the pork tenderloin with smoked mozzarella-potato croquette and dijon-chive butter; grilled, herb-crusted beef shoulder with a mushroom potato cake and roasted garlic basil demi-glace; or filet mignon with candied shallot and roasted red pepper butter will make excellent choices.
Bricco also offers a variety of tasty, oven-fired pizzas. Try the 5 cheese, featuring mozzarella, cheddar, feta, Parmesan and goat cheese along with garlic oil, or the grilled tenderloin pie with caramelized onions, roasted tomatoes and a boursin cream cheese sauce.
A fully-stocked bar offers a wide variety of drinks from imported wines to cocktails and ales to stouts, so be sure to ask your server for a recommendation that will compliment your meal selection.
Dress is business casual and reservations are helpful, especially on busy weekends.
