Oh let's see here...30 years of painting sounds about right. Yes, I have been at it a very long time. Occasionally people ask me why I'm not famous by now..My answer is quite simple. I create paintings because I have a passion for it. I never intended to get famous, or rich.
I have created hundreds of paintings over the years..Still lifes, landscapes, seascapes, portraits, reproduction from the masters', and so on. I enjoy using oils over any other medium, although I do use others depending on what the subject matter chooses for me. I say this because, when I paint..the process isn't really anything taught from a textbook. I become inspired in some way, and several days later I come to with a finished painting.
My daughter has recently nagged me into putting a few paintings in a local gallery, as well as getting a computer, website and so on. I have paintings scattered all over the states, which I also get yelled at about because some of them I never even took a photo of before sending them off to their new homes. Well, those days are past now according to my daughter.
I'm a self taught artist as most of you perhaps guesses by now. I have spent many years studying the great Masters', reading books, and so on.
