Canton, Ohio once belonged to a Delaware Indian. However, this person during 1806 sold out to Bezaleel Wells. The city lies within Stark County.
The Post Office opened sometime during 1807. The town received its name from Canton, China. Plus, its from Canton, New Lisbon.
Canton is renowned for dairy products and poultry farms. This town was home to President William McKinley.
During 1883, William H. Hoover started his tannery business; mostly, he’s known for Hoover vacuum’s. The Akron-Canton Regional Airport was constructed sometime in 1946.
